Ihenacho And Ihedioha Lead Thugs To Disrupt Debate ...

The political atmosphere in Imo state took a dangerous dimension recently as the governorship candidates of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Captain Emmanuel Ihenacho and his counterpart in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Emeka Ihedioha took their  political brigandage to another level.

A debate  organised at the Asumpta Cathederal ended up disrupted when the PDP and APGA candidates stormed the venue with arm-wielding hooligans. The touts ended up leaving many with blood bath, broken heads and machete cuts.
The touts were busy blowing whistles at the Cathederal  disrupting the peace and tranquility of the house of God and forced the debate to be cancelled
The duo who are battling to take over from incumbent Governor Rochas Okorocha, have always displayed their unwillingness to participate in the various debates organised by various groups in the state.
In a related development, another debate was held last Friday at the Concorde Hotel in the state capital,Owerri. The debate which was well attended by stakeholders in the state witnessed Okorocha  demonstrating his knowledge of not only Imo state but Nigeria as a whole and also proffered the best solutions to delivering the dividends of democracy to the masses.

Meanwhile, Okorocha recently alleged that about seven Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors were secretly working with his party, All Progressives Congress to ensure General Muhammadu Buhari’s victory in the forthcoming poll, although the PDP has discredited any plan of its governor to defect to the APC
