Nigerian rapper Sinzu was in the news around this time last year for a credit card scam that was revealed by his former bestie Godwon. A surveillance video that was posted online at that time show a man that allegedly looked like Sinzu walk into a store to withdraw money, and it was said that that’s when the fraud happened. Few days after that a mugshot of Sinzu was uncovered by 36NG, dated 2013 where he was allegedly arrested for Forgery and Unlawful Carriage of Weapon,
A year after that Sinzu just rolled out a new record titled 100 Grand Man (Listen here) and some of his lyrics in the song leave us wondering if he spent time in 2014 or 2013
At about 1:25 in the song Sinzu raps “Fresh out of jail, yea a n*gga put on bail, yea i did my little time [in jail] but a n*gga never tell… God knows it was hell [for him] sitting in the cell…“. Earlier in the song he said “I was up and running but a n*gga [Sinzu] went missing, trying to tell these n*ggas but these n*ggas never listen… Everything i rapped about i can back it up”
It is unclear the time Sinzu is referring to or if it is mere punchlines. He was off the radar for a month after news of a credit card scam last year came online, and was also off the radar sometime in 2013
