Remember the reports about David Arquette getting into a scuffle with Justin Bieber which resulted in the 43-year-old being kicked out of the singer's 21st birthday bash? Well, part of that story true. Arquette called into The Howard Stern Show this morning to explain what really went down in Sin City.
According to Page Six's initial report, the pop star wanted Arquette thrown out of his Vegas party after he caught wind that David was “talking about Bieber behind his back.”
The
source said: “Justin heard what David had been saying, and threw him
out of his suite with the help of a friend, because they didn’t have
security up there. Somehow David managed to get back in and rushed at
Bieber to take him out. There was a confrontation, then other people got
in the way to separate them. David was thrown out again, this time for
good.”
While speaking to Stern on Monday, Arquette insisted, "I didn't get in a fight and thrown out."
What
really went down was the Biebs had just thrown his birthday bash
(following the taping of his Comedy Central roast in L.A.) at David's
new club in Las Vegas, Heart of Omnia, at Caesars Palace. After the shindig, David got into an elevator thinking he was going to a friend's afterparty and when he got off, was asked to put his cell phone in a pillow case.
"I'm
thinking that's weird… but we do it and we go in and I'm not at my
friend's party — I'm at Justin Bieber's party. So I'm crashing, right
now I'm crashing," he admitted. "I don't think it's so bad because he
just celebrated his birthday at [our club] and we know Scooter [Braun}
David said he went up to Justin to thank him for having his bash at Omnia "and he flicks me in the head with a bottle cap."
Naturally, Howard responded to that by calling Bieber "a little prick."
Arquette
defended Justin, "He's not a little prick, I'm already crashing his
party… I'm thinking it's a homeboy game," he explained. "[Justin] runs
to the bathroom, I chase him and he's kind of giggling or whatever. I
think we're being silly… silly fun. So I walk up and I start talking to
his friends."
When the Biebs came out, David said he "popped him in the nuts" but "not
hard… a little love tap… he actually giggles [it] off and everything is
cool. Then this is where it got weird."
David noted he was wearing a fancy, custom-made suit that said "David Arquette" on the pinstripe, which costs about $8,000. The Scream
star said he went to thank the pop star and that he would like to get
him a similar suit that says "Justin Bieber" in the pinstripe
.
"At that point, I think he
thought I was trying to sell him a suit or something, and he got
awkward,"Arquette recalled. "Maybe I'm too aggressive. I was a little
saucy I wasn't too bad… I think I offended him. So his friends were
like, 'I want you to leave now.'"
So David was escorted out —
but not before he got in the last word, which he sheepishly admitted
was a "shameful moment" for him.
"I
walk out, I'm getting kicked out of this place, and I do a little
smooth move and I ditch the security and stuff and I come right back
up," he continued. "I should never do this, I'm never going to pull this
card again, but I did. And I said, 'Yo bro, I know you're kicking me
out. I didn't mean to offend you, my sister just won the Oscar so don't
get too big in your britches,'" he confessed. "I know, it's a shameful
thing to say. I didn't win the Oscar." (In case you don't know, Patricia
Arquette won Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in Boyhood.)
"The
reason I'm telling this story is because the stories said I went back
to fight him, and I don't fight and nobody should," he concluded.
"That's it
