Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes finally made his Manchester United debut on Sunday during their clash with Arsenal - five months after signing for the club.
An injury to first choice keeper David De Gea forced Louis van Gaal into the change deep into the second half, and the 33-year-old was met with a rapturous applause.
Valdes, signed on a free in January, and has made a number of appearances for the title winning Under-21 side without budging De Gea from the starting spot.

The Spaniard replaced David De Gea (right) after he suffered an injury late into the second halg
He didn't have a dream debut though, as Theo Walcott's cross deflected off Tyler Blackett and into back the net, leaving the Spaniard stranded.
The injury to De Gea may also have been his final appearance at Old Trafford with Real Madrid keen to sign him in the summer.
The game finished 1-1 with both sides places in the Champions League confirmed after Liverpool lost to Crystal Palace at Anfield on Saturday.
