Woman opens fire on THREE armed robbers in her home while her boyfriend sleeps...
Driekie
Croucamp, 39, was woken by a noise and initially thought her boyfriend,
Craven Coetzee, was just making food in the kitchen of their Port
Elizabeth home.
But
when she heard it again, she decided to investigate. That's when
Croucamp, gun in hand, went into the hallway and saw a man coming up the
stairs.
'I think I screamed "freeze!" and all of a sudden he came at me with a knife,' she told the Herald Port Elizabeth.
This is the moment Drieckie Croucamp
grabbed her gun and confronted three armed robbers who had broken into
her home and sent them running with two shots
Croucamp, 39, was woken by a noise and
thought her boyfriend, Craven Coetzee (pictured grabbing his gun after
hearing the first shot), was just making food in the kitchen of their
Port Elizabeth, South Africa home
By the time Croucamp fired a second shot, all three men had jumped out of the window they used to break into the home.
The first gun shot woke up Coetzee, who grabbed the revolver he sleeps with every night and ran to check on Croucamp.
Coetzee,
42, then pushed the home's panic button and turned off the lights, in
case the men were still nearby and could see inside the home, before
making sure the other rooms were clear.
Eastern
Cape police spokesperson Alwin Lebans said the men stole Croucamp's
purse, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash and her bank cards,
he told News24.
Lebans
said no one was injured in the incident and that the police were
investigating a case of robbery and the attempted murder.
The three men can be seen in the
chilling footage captured by Coetzee and Croucamp's surveillance video,
which filmed them walking around the couple's home for nearly 20 minutes
early Tuesday morning
After listening for sounds in the
hallway, the men walked into the kitchen, according to the captions
included in the video Coetzee posted on YouTube, and armed themselves
with knives and wire
One of the men
can then be see walking in the direction of Croucamp's room, clutching
her purse, before he seems to hear something and turn away

The

Coetzee captioned in his video, posted on YouTube,
that it was there the men armed themselves with more knives as well as
wire and an electric cable, which he believed they were going to use 'to
tie us up with no doubt'.
He then beckons
the other two men down the stairs (pictured), where they remain for 10
minutes before venturing back to the hallway - not knowing that, this
time, Croucamp will be waiting
