Donning Batman's famous cape and cowl is the stuff childhood dreams are made of - and Miles Scott saw it become a reality as he recovered from leukemia.
The five-year-old boy was helped by Make A Wish Foundation to achieve his goal of becoming a real life superhero - along with the support of thousands of people in San Francisco.
A heartwarming trailer has been released by Warner Bros. as the studio tells this emotional story as people reached out to help Batkid have the experience of a lifetime.
Battling some of the Caped Crusaders greatest foes - Penguin and The Riddler both appear in the teaser - Miles is amazed to see so many people cheering for him as the hero.
On 15 November 2013, the city of San Francisco was transformed into Gotham City as the public - 25,000 of them with two billion more online - pulled through for the young boy as his big day went viral.
Even Barack Obama got involved, saying in a vine: "Way to go Miles, way to save Gotham."
Big-screen Batman stars Michael Keaton, Ben Affleck and Christian Bale also heaped praise on the inspiration boy.
The emotional clip is impossible to watch without your eyes watering as the film tells the story of the remarkable way the colossal event was brought together.
The film's director Dana Nacman revealed Miles is very confident about his role in saving the city.
She told USA Today: "He is very matter-of-fact about it. 'I went to San Francisco, that's where Gotham City is, and I stopped the Riddler'.
"He's still very much in the part when he discusses it."
Batkid Begins will hit select cinemas on June 26 before screening across the US in July.
