Robin van Persie is set to miss Man United’s next four games with an ankle injury...
Two of England’s leading tabloids sing from the same hymn sheet on Friday, as they deliver bad news to Manchester United fans about striker Robin van Persie.
Last weekend, in the 2-1 defeat at Swansea, Dutch international RVP left Wales on crutches whilst his right foot was covered by a plastic protective boot.
The Mirror and the Sun join forces on Friday to give an update on Robin van Persie’s health situation, and the red-tops agree that the striker is set to miss the next four Man United matches with an ankle problem.
If true, that would mean van Persie would miss games against Sunderland (h), Newcastle (a), Arsenal (h) and Tottenham (h).
Moreover, van Persie would be set to make his return for the Red Devils in the huge match at Old Trafford against Liverpool on March 22nd.
The Dutchman’s injury, however, could actually help out Louis van Gaal in the long run. Van Persie has been very poor of late and his continued starts in the Manchester United side have had many supporters calling for Louis van Gaal to bring in youngster James Wilson.
Robin van Persie has scored 10 goals this season for Man United.
