TOP OFFICIALS IN NIGERIA SAY AT LEAST TWENTY-ONE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED BY RETREATING BOKO HARAM JIHADIST...in the far north-east of the country. A community leader in Borno state said the militants burned down several villages near the town of Chibok. A Nigerian military spokesman said the rebels were fleeing a ground-and-air offensive in the Sambisa forest. Military chiefs from Nigeria and four neighbouring countries (Chad, Niger, Cameroon and Benin) will meet next week to finalise plans for a regional ground force of eight-thousand-seven-hundred troops, to address the threat from Boko Haram.
