Furious 8’ Will Be Made Because Paul Walker Wanted It...

So touching. An eighth ‘Fast and the Furious’ film is all but guaranteed, and we have the franchise’s late star Paul Walker to thank for it!

The legacy of Paul Walker continues to live on and have influence. The Fast and the Furious star, who tragically died while the seventh film was still in production, always believed in the franchise receiving an eighth installment. Thankfully, Paul’s costar Vin Diesel, who is also a producer on the mega hit series, says that another film is pretty much a done deal– and it’s all because of Paul himself as well as, of course, a little bit of “fate.”

‘Furious 8′ Confirmed: Paul Walker Is To Thank

We are probably getting another Furious film, and this one is “for” Paul Walker.
Following the MTV Movie Awards on Apr. 12, during which Vin Diesel paid special tribute to his buddy Paul, he revealed that an eighth film was probably happening, mainly because he felt that he owed it to Paul. “Paul used to say that [Fast & Furious] 8 was guaranteed,” Vin told MTV. “In some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass.”
Yeah, we’re crying too.

It All Comes Down To ‘Fate’

Vin isn’t the only one ready and willing to do another sequel. Furious star Dwayne Johnson also revealed that he’s ready to get back in the game. “I talked to Vin today — we had a nice discussion– and I think whatever it is, whatever we come up with for Furious 8, we have to raise the bar, in terms of action, but, but also in terms of story and character.”
Vin, however, added that an eighth film was bigger than all of the cast merely wanting it. “So, if fate has it — fate, F8 — then you’ll get it,” he said. “‘Furious 7′ was for Paul; 8 is from Paul.”

Would you want to see a Furious 8?
